Parent  Governor  – Claire Macintosh

Clare has been a parent governor since May 2016, with governor responsibility for Safeguarding and Children in Care.

Claire sits on the following committees

  • WHAT EXPERIENCE DOES CLAIRE BRING TO GOVERNING OUR SCHOOL?

      Clare works outside of education as an Environmental Consultant having over 20 years experience working in both the public and private sector. Clare is a full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and a Chartered Environmentalist.

    Clare now runs her own business and her current focus is on conducting third party audits against a number of management system standards including ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).  Clare is experienced in questioning and challenging whilst also balancing this with providing support and suggestions.

    Clare has a daughter (Hannah) who has just left the Woolston Community Primary to start Secondary School and a son (Thomas) currently in Year 5.

ABOUT ME

I have a child who currently attends Woolston Community Primary School and an older daughter who has just started Secondary School in Woolston.  I have lived in the area for a number of years and being self-employed has allowed me the flexibility to give some of my time back to the School.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and travelling
