Mr Craig Burgess
Staff Governor (HeadTeacher) – Craig Burgess
WHAT EXPERIENCE DOES cRAIG BRING TO GOVERNING OUR SCHOOL?
- I started at Woolston CP as Headteacher in January 2017.
- I started my teaching career in Kirkby and taught at Millbrook Community Primary School for three years. I then moved to Appleton Thorn Community Primary School in Warrington where I worked as a teacher for three years. I was then promoted to Deputy and held this post for three years before taking up the post of Headteacher in September 2011. During my time at Appleton Thorn the school went from good to outstanding and was twice rated in the top 200 schools in the country (for KS2 results) whilst I was headteacher. The school was also recognised locally for its strong inclusive practice and I have continued with this approach at Woolston CP School.
