It is a privilege to be a teacher and I decided to become a Governor so that I could be more involved in the community of our school. I have a BA Hons in English and - during my Masters - decided to specialise in Victorian Literature. My favourite teaching moment is when a child told me I’d inspired her to become an author and brought me a story she’d entered into a writing competition. Now I have a daughter, education is more important to me than ever. I look forward to continuing my work in our classrooms and as a staff Governor. My favourite children’s author is Neil Gaiman but I’m always mesmerised by the classic Roald Dahl!
